About NICOLAS GIACALONE

  • In April 2025, Nicolas Giacalone was appointed by the White House to serve as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Department of State in the Office of the Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, where he is currently serving. 


  • From December 2024 to January 2025, Giacalone served as a Special Aide to the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, Inc., where he assisted in advancing the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect in Palm Beach, Florida. His responsibilities included preparing briefing binders for inaugural meetings and presentations, as well as supporting operational logistics to ensure a seamless transition.


  • From July 2024 to December 2024, he worked as a Special Aide to the Deputy Campaign Manager for Donald J. Trump for President 2024, Inc. In this role, he produced comprehensive reports detailing the daily operations of President Trump, Senator Vance, and key campaign surrogates. He played a key role in planning and executing presidential campaign events, compiled and distributed daily front-page newspapers from across the nation to campaign leadership, and managed the distribution of campaign merchandise at both the Trump Campaign’s National Headquarters and various campaign events. He also oversaw shipping processes within the Operations Department.


  • Previously, from September 2023 to July 2024, Giacalone served as an Intern to Donald J. Trump for President 2024, Inc., where he provided administrative support to the Deputy Campaign Manager. He supported the advance team at events by coordinating logistics for the Trump family and elected officials, assisted with event staging, collaborated with the strategic operations team to identify venues for rallies and messaging events, and helped manage office inventory at campaign headquarters.


  • In the summer of 2023, he interned in the Office of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, where he assisted individuals seeking U.S. citizenship by connecting them with caseworkers. He also helped constituents navigate Senator Rubio’s website for legislative and casework inquiries, provided guidance on passport acquisition, and managed incoming mail for the senator’s office.


  • From April 2023 to September 2023, Giacalone served as a Board Member on the City of Boynton Beach Education & Youth Advisory Board, contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing educational programs and delivering critical resources for the city’s youth.


  • In the Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate campaign, he held two positions. From September 2022 to November 2022, he served as a Palm Beach County Liaison, representing Senator Rubio at public events and assisting the advance team in coordinating campaign activities. He also participated in political tabling and canvassing to strengthen voter outreach. Prior to that, from January 2022 to September 2022, he worked as an Intern, focusing on political canvassing and phone banking to mobilize voters.


  • At Lynn University, Giacalone earned a place on the prestigious Dean’s List in recognition of his academic excellence, while actively participating in numerous community service projects aimed at making a positive impact beyond the classroom.


  • During his time at Somerset Academy Canyons, he held several leadership positions that allowed him to contribute meaningfully to student life. In 11th grade, he served as Junior Class President for the Class of 2022 and was appointed Chairman of Fundraising for the Student Government Association (SGA), where he oversaw financial initiatives and secured event sponsorships. In 12th grade, he was elected President of the SGA for the middle-high school division, leading student advocacy efforts and implementing school-wide initiatives. Additionally, from 10th to 12th grade, he served as Lead Anchor and Producer for WSAC News, contributing to over 300 episodes and playing a pivotal role in shaping the school’s broadcast journalism program.
